Confucius Birthplace

Day 3 of crazy tourism weekend with the foreigners....we went to visit the birthplace of Confucius. It is actually a little outside of the city of Qufu...it took about 30mins or so by van. Boy, was it worth the trip!! This was hands down my favorite part of the weekend! Imagine...an ancient Chinese temple...NOT crowded with tourists and megaphones and groups of people where the same ridiculous hats! :) It was very beautiful and peaceful...exactly how you'd imagine an ancient temple to be...this one comes highly recommended!

Look at all those Foreigners!! (Foreign Teachers from all 3 Universities)

The very quiet, very beautiful temple near the birthplace of Confucius

Hide and seek

NATURE! WOW! this was my favoite place we visited on the crazy tourist weekend...so quiet, so pretty...

How many people can we fit in the cave where Confucius was born?? (He was born here, on a rock slab...or at least that's how the story goes...)

Keep away with the cutest little kids EVER!

I like empty temples

ooooo this tree in the temple at Confucius' birthplace almost looks like Fall!!
